The World Bank funded various water sanitation and water distribution projects aimed at updating and remodelling the water systems in the neighbourhoods of Al-Mukalla. Key activities included operations such as adding new galvanized water pipes and replacing main water lines in the distribution networks, whilst providing a health education program designed to encourage the population in Al-Mukalla to improve health practices and sanitary conditions
