The Yemeni Ministry of Water and Environment announced that opened a large solar project that will provide the required energy to operate 12 wells within the city of Dhamar. The ministry has also announced that it has already implemented more than 1000 projects for rural solar powered water supply systems saving 24 million litres of diesel annually, whilst more than 356,106 people benefited from 70 water emergency unit projects.
