A formal mission from the organisation Greenpeace lead by Paul Horsman, an international expert on climate initiatives and environmental campaigner, congratulated the government on spearheading and accelerating plans towards a renewable energy wind farm project in 2007. The initiative was praised as creative and environmentally aware during a press conference in the port of Aden. Despite initial enthusiasm however, the project was evidenced to stall in 2013.
