The project aimed to rehabilitate waste removal, water distribution, and water sanitation systems in Adan to allow these services to recover from the impact of war. The rehabilitation of two buildings for the Adan cleaning Authority took place, allowing them to serve 160,000 people each. Furthermore, suspended garbage trucks were purchased to remove waste, as were submersible engine pumps to provide access to clean water to around 1.1 million people.
