In efforts to increase Thu Dau Mot's stature in Vietnam as a first class urban area in 2015, the local administration focused on solving difficulties to spur progress of basic construction investment; giving priorities for key works relating to education, healthcare and upgrading the city landscape. This included the city People’s Committee cooperating with Thu Dau Mot Electricity to improve electrical grid system.
