Solar Sister is a social enterprise that combines use of clean energy access and women’s enterprise. Solar Sister created a network of women entrepreneurs to deliver clean energy to communities in rural Africa. The initiative has reached over 4.3 million people reached with clean energy products for fore than 10,000 local women entrepreneurs, generated over $300 Million of economic benefit in off-grid communities and mitigated over 1,433,000 tons of emissions.
