Mini-grids represent a relatively rapid means of providing electricity to rural centres that are far from grid infrastructure. The Space Engineering Company of Tanzania installed a 25 kWp solar and 32 kW biomass gasifier hybrid system in the Mbozi District in the Mbeya Region, increasing the reliability of electricity supply and addressing the problem of intermittent supply from renewable energy sources.
