As part of the initiative, Vicat invited Urbasolar to design a solution that replaces the six generators, accommodating the largest off-grid power plant on self-consumption trackers in Africa. Trackers that equip the site's 2,500 photovoltaic panels will analyse the meteorological data and operating data to propose an arrangement. This ultimately reduces the cost per kilowatt hour by a factor of three and reduce CO² emissions by 10,000 tonnes per year.
