As part of the emergency measures to respond to the Covid crisis, the federal government installed solar power mini-grids at four isolation centres in Nigeria. This included a 53.1kwp solar mini-grid installed at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Isolation Centre in Gwagwalada. The solar project provided clean and affordable energy which improved the capacity of health workers caring for patients at the facility.
