The school principal at Mercy Girls High school championed the use of solar system in this school. With solar energy as the main source of energy in the school, overdependence on generating other unsustainable forms of energy is reduced. The school principal teaches students and staff how to produce, install and maintain solar energy, using transferable knowledge benefiting the staff who gain employment opportunities through solar installations.
