The National Biotechnology Agency collaborated with private sector organisations to install a micro-distillery in Ogbomosho. This distillery can produce 1,000 litres of ethanol daily from cassava waste and cashew crops, which will be supplied as cooking fuels to rural households. This curbed local resident reliance on unsustainable fuels like firewood and kerosene for cooking, whilst 1000 households were supplied clean cook ethanol fuel stoves to facilitate the energy transition process.
