Sponsored by the World Bank, NEWMAP aimed to rehabilitate the gully erosion around Edim Otop in Calabar which has degraded local environment and led to loss of lives and properties. The project has provided livelihood support, ensured that the air quality levels are constantly monitored and disclosed and adhered to proper disposal of construction spoil and any hazardous waste.
