Launched in 2014, the FUWOBA project formed part of the state's effort to tackle desertification and deforestation. FUWOBA distributed over 7,000 mould efficient clean cook stoves to farmers in seven local government areas. It benefited locals as less time and less firewood was required to cook than traditional methods used. The project further distributed economic tree seedlings to local farmers to encourage tree planting efforts to tackle drought and deforestation.
