In 2020, the Federal Government of Nigeria commissioned a 8.25M Solar Hybrid Power plant at Federal University of Agriculture. The project was a federal government intervention aimed at developing off-grid, dedicated and independent power plants, as well as rehabilitating existing distribution infrastructure to supply clean and reliable power to 37 federal universities and 7 affiliated university teaching hospitals. As a result, students and teaching staff gained access to electricity supply.
