The program involved the Women Environmental Programme receiving 3000 tree seedlings from the federal government. These seedlings were planted across many locations in Nigeria, as part of the government's commitment to enhance carbon sinks under the Paris climate change Agreement. Some of the locations in Makurdi included in this tree planting exercise include Welfare Quarters Extension, Utu Layout, New Covenant Christian College, and ECWA Good News Church.
