Ondo state government partnered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Coperation (NNPC) in 2017 to build a cassava plant in Ondo state. This plant is estimated to produce 65 million litres of ethanol p/year, which will generate 40MW of electricity for nearby residents, engage over 60,000 farmers and create over 400,000 jobs.
