This project focused on the women in the Zinder Region of Niger. To address the population’s extreme vulnerability, protecting the affected ecosystem to improve living conditions in the site area took priority. Sustainable practices were developed for women, such as goat herding, increasing family incomes and improving biodiversity. Furthermore, awareness raising campaigns, livestock feed stores and training sessions to diagnose livestock diseases were implemented as part of the project.
