Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) piloted a market-led approach for sustainable management of agrobiodiversity between 2019-2022. The project is expected to improve the livelihoods of 3,000 smallholder farmers through application of ecologically sound and scalable market-based solutions to agricultural and aquatic biodiversity management, whilst increase consumer awareness and enhance capacity and local conservation stewardship efforts.
