This project was implemented to strengthen capacities of environmental authorities in Myanmar for water environmental management and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) review works. The project had two components, namely water environment management component and EIA component, implemented in three cities across Myanmar. The project achieved minimising the impact of industrial effluents from industrial zones on river water quality and advancing an EIA approach for complicated issues.
