The project, intervening in Quelimane, involved working with municipal governments aiming to increase understanding of urban adaptation issues, increase the application of management options for urban adaptation, improve the resilience of the target coastal cities and to facilitate the adoption of adaptive measures at the local level. Vulnerability maps have added an extra level of protection to citizens, helping both municipal officials and citizens better understand climate-change related risks.
