Recognizing the significant role of climate change on Mozambicans’ livelihoods, mayors and citizens from the cities of Pemba and Quelimane – with the assistance of the USAID Coastal City Adaptation Project (CCAP) – have sprung into action to put their cities on the road to resilience. The CCAP has helped create a SMS-based early warning and data collection system for emergency response in Pemba and Quelimane.
