As part of the goal of ensuring universal access to sanitation and eradicating open fecalism by 2030, the national government implemented a project to enhance sanitation services across Mozambique benefiting about 200 000 inhabitants across the country. This project further intended to increase the capacity to plan and implement investments in the area of sanitation in Mozambique. In Nampula, the project will provide performance-based grants to finance service improvement activities.
