Between 2012 and 2020, 26 cities/towns from southern and some from the central regions (including Tete and Chimoio) were part of a project that aimed to strengthen the municipalities' capacity to create conditions for resilience to climate change. The project increased the municipal capacity to plan, manage and finance the resilient development of the urban climate by strengthening the financial institutions to improve decentralized financing and sustainable infrastructure management.
