The project was built on unambiguous evidence from sectoral literature that access to electricity and modern energy services are prerequisites for improved livelihoods, particularly in under-served and un-served communities. The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy ensured taht six hospitals across provinces, including Chimoio, were equipped with solar heaters. The use of solar heaters considerably improved the hygiene services for hospitalised patients and health workers in these communities, would considerably improve the hygiene services, forming part of wider efforts to contribute to the sustainability of the off‐grid electrification.
