The project aimed to strengthen municipal capacity to create conditions for resilience to climate change. In Beira, the aim was to strengthen the city's resistance capacity to control floods by strengthening financial institutions that sustain its municipal system to spearhead sustainable management of urban infrastructure. The city has strengthened its resilience to weather-related hazards through storm water drainage system rehabilitation, resulting in a 70% reduction in the risk of flooding.
