As part of the goal of ensuring universal access to sanitation and eradicating open fecalism by 2030, the national government is implementing a project to enhance sanitation services in Beira, amongst other cities, benefiting about 200 000 inhabitants across the country. This project also intends to increase the capacity to plan and implement investments, with the project will provide performance-based grants to finance service improvement activities in Beira.
