The original objective was to strengthen municipal capacity for sustainable urban infrastructure provision and environmental management, enhancing resiliency to climate related risks. The project succeeded in the completion of drainage master plans, the rehabilitation of Beira's drainage canals and the improvement and protection of Four kilometres of Beira’s natural drainage courses. The development of a a large urban park provided a co-benefit of better living conditions to the population.
