As a result of poorly planned settlements and inadequate housing, more than 300,000 residents there have been exposed to disasters. In 2021, new urban planning projects were enabled, including the creation of green infrastructure to protect cities and the population. The Green Park project improved the city’s drainage system and provided space for recreation, relaxation and sports, forming part of a green zone containing green urban spaces.
