The Malian government is creating the conditions to encourage Malians in the diaspora to come back and invest in very promising agricultural sectors such as gum arabic, holding an economic and ecological interest in the move. This development could allow populations in the north of the country to develop agriculture, whilst fighting against desertification by maintaining the soil.
