In 2017, one hundred of representatives from local grassroots communities (COBA) met to discuss the management of local natural resources. This exchange has facilitated dialogue between grassroots organisations and state organisations, providing an impetus to a remobilised, collaborative approach between actors for natural resource management. The additional support goes a long way in supporting management communities that regularly implement a biodiversity and threat monitoring system, among other initiatives.
