This project involves efforts initiated by various organisations and companies around Madagascar to provide affordable, household-level solutions through renting small solar lanterns through the franchisee model. It has achieved the distribution of 7000 lamps rented daily through 31 franchisees in Tana & Antsirabe through credit payments. However, the sales activity currently underway and the product plus financing packages currently available are not sufficient to reach the poorest.
