This Action was joint initiative aiming to improve the understanding of, and capacity to, address disaster risk reduction and build resilience at the local level. It supported climate change adaptation strategies focused on building local capacities in crisis-prone cities. To ensure commitment and ownership by local governments, all cities are part of the a global campaign that seeks to raise awareness of reduction and resilience efforts at the local level.
