This project focused on the construction and extension of the sewage system of the city including sewer branches, lifting stations, and a sewerage treatment plant. It aimed to reduce environmental pollution and improve the service landscape in Diwaniyah. The established network now serves 53 neighbourhoods in the city, connected to a central treatment plant that produces treated water suitable for irrigation at a flow capacity of 100,000 m3 per day.
