Climate Village Programme was a national programme aimed at encouraging engagement and participation from stakeholders in capacity building related to climate change adaptation at the local level and promote a low carbon emissions lifestyle. The adaptation activities borne out of the initiative included control of drought and flooding, development of food resilience, whilst mitigation activities included waste management, renewable energy and energy conservation methods and the increase of vegetation coverage.
