Created as a local afforestation program, Green Cover Proliferation's main objectives include improving carbon storage through extended tree cover, improve the micro-climate of Hosur, prevent soil erosion, promote awareness among young generations and increase the water table. Green Cover Proliferation initiative has effectively raised and exchanged saplings by collecting seeds and cuttings. So far, 1,000 saplings have been exchanged while carbon emissions have been dramatically reduced.
