Tata Power installed solar rooftop projects at varying manufacturing sites, including Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The main aims of the project include generate over 1 million kWh of solar power per year, lead to an average tariff reduction of around 30 percent and curb emissions of over 13,000 kg of CO2 per day. Generation of solar power at manufacturing plants will therefore aid at reducing industrially-generated carbon footprint.
