The project falls under the Centre for Science and Environment overall efforts to encourage air pollution monitoring, policy updates and proposed technological advancements across all sectors that have been collated using information available in public domain. The CSE has also finalised clean air action plans for six non-attainment cities, including Raniganj, whereby plans to ban polluting fuels as part of a clean fuels policy have been approved for implementation.
