This initiative aims to enable energy trade and improve the quality of electricity supply by providing renewable and clean energy at a competitive cost. With this project, the sub-regional organisation intends to increase electricity access and create a regional electricity market whilst reduce the consumption of fossil fuels significantly. The project has achieved 99% completion of the transmission line and substations, with remaining construction required in Guinea Bissau.
