The objective of the Emergency Water and Electricity Services Upgrading Project was to restore and increase the access of the population of Bissau to safe water, improve the quality of water services and improve the reliability of electricity supply to the population. The proposed operation supported multiple subprojects, financed feasibility and detailed design studies including environmental assessments and social studies, whilst providing employment opportunities to affected households and communities.
