The basket Industry is one of the major sectors that could be used to fight poverty, climate change and variability as well as curb rural-urban migration among the youth in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Weaving baskets has offered individuals an important source of income, whilst contributing immensely to the cultural, political and socio-economic development in Ghana.
