The Sendje hydroelectric dam (200MW) forms an important part of the initial phase of the programme for the development of Equatorial Guinea’s hydroelectric capacity. The project will add 1,042 GWh to the national electric output, reducing dependence on oil-fired thermal generation through clean renewable energy, increasing access to grid-power, reducing the cost of electricity in the country and promoting national economic growth.
