The objective of the project was to facilitate access to energy resources for citizens, offering a clean and cost-effective fuel for private vehicles and for public transport in Malabo and Bata. The Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (CNG) was considered an important component in the Horizon 2020 Plan, the government's economic development plan and provided the capacity to develop and export technological expertise.
