The NGO Mission in Health Care and Development (MHCD), spearheaded by national deputy Luc Mulimbalimba, launched a public lighting initative in the city aiming to improve livelihood options for traders and improve the safety of the city. The local population believes that this action contributes not only to improving access to renewable energy in the villages, but also to fighting insecurity.
