This project, with a capacity of 10.5 megawatts, was estimated to light thousands of homes as well as health establishments and schools, thus helping to revitalize local industry. However, due to delays in the execution of the project, the plant has not yet consistently supplied electricity to the populations of the region. When fully operational, it will additionally help boost local industry through energy provision and socioeconomic development.
