The project supports the sustainable management of forest resources to fight against deforestation. To tackle deforestation and forest degradation, the project adopts a participatory and transparent approach through improved governance, land use planning, community forestry, agriculture, wood energy and family planning. As part of this project, the resilience of vulnerable communities will be strengthened through support for the development of cash crops and the sustainable management of community forests.
