The government has identified an investment opportunity in the town of Mbandaka for a hybrid solar/pumped storage system, rated at 20 MW, but there is no indication of when or how this will proceed, however the project mandated to contribute to increased regional energy access and energy security by promoting market-based adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
