The Participatory Slum Upgrade Program aims to address the inequitable and uneven urban development patterns represented by slums. Several key successes of the project include fostering fundamental mind-set change among key stakeholders, encouraging and facilitating an institutional coordination to build a long-term learning and exchange platform, planning and Improved awareness and the measurement of the informal economy and livelihoods in slums and providing new capacity-building skills to local communities.
