Developed by the UN-Habitat, the Public Space Assessment Tool has enabled the local government in Bamenda to map their public space from a qualitative and quantitative perspective in a cost-effective manner and take stock of public spaces. In order to ensure effectiveness, the tool must be contextually-specific and anchored on a firm understanding of the role of stakeholders it is designed to serve.
