This incident involved Local population protesting in front of the 'International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) due to people living nearby fearing that with the rainy season the water basin inside the IITA property will overflow and flood of all houses located in this area. This forces communities to engage in unconventional practices and risks whose effects would deteriorate the current situation.
