Background

At school, in institutions, administrations and at the level of formal economic exchanges, only French should be used. As a result, French, the language of the colonizer, became entrenched in the daily lives of all citizens. The project aims at the experimentation and institutionalisation of local languages and take stock of literacy in each of them.
